Working Bees are an invaluable way in which parents, students and friends can contribute towards the maintenance of the school, helping make the environment in which our children learn, a safe and attractive one.
We usually hold one working bee each school term to garden, tidy, make minor repairs, clean and construct to maintain the school and playground. These working bees are a great opportunity to meet new friends, catch up with old friends, share a coffee and often a BBQ, as well as getting your hands dirty. Whilst we have a Building Maintenance Manager, he cannot maintain the upkeep on his own, hence why we hold working bees. It is also a great way to build a strong school community.
Our first Working Bee for 2026 was held on Saturday 13th June. Thankfully the weather held off and we had a busy morning. Thank you to the families that turned up.
A lot of areas requiring maintenance were identified through the grounds walk around audit. Keep an eye open for further communication this term regarding our term 3 working bee.
