Round 2, 2nd March results and updated ladders:
Congratulations to all our students who competed in the Dandenong Ranges Division Swimming last week. All reports state that the students had an amazing experience competing at this elite level and we have had several teams advance through to the Eastern Metropolitan Region Championship tomorrow at the Ringwood Aquatic Centre. Phoebe, Sienna and Kailyn will be representing the school in individual events. Several relay teams will represent BSPS with Finn, Liam, Zelan and David competing in the 11 year old boys relay, Jaz, Sunny, Shanyce and Lillie in the 12-13 year old girls relay and Will Cooper, Xavier and Samuel in the 12-13 year old boys relay. Again, I wish them all the very best of luck.
There is certainly a lot of excitement and activity in the school at the moment as the Stax-A-Fun Fete fast approaches. This will be my first fete at Belgrave South Primary School and I am really looking forward to it. I have been absolutely amazed at the volume of work undertaken by the fete committee and their absolute dedication to making the event a success. There is still time to get your ride passes and to buy raffle tickets. We have a working bee scheduled for this Sunday between 10 am and 12 midday to make sure that everything is ready to go for the Fete the following weekend. If you can lend a hand, we would love to see you here on Sunday morning. I look forward to seeing you at the Fete, I may even be brave enough to have a go on one of the rides!
The beautiful artwork that Karen Penwarden has helped each grade put together to be auctioned at the Silent Auction on Fete Day is now on display in the office area!
Come up and have a look at the wonderful job Karen and your children have done on their creations and see which ones you will like to bid for!!
If you can help on a stalls for an hour on the day please let Lynn or Carol know. We would be very grateful.
We need empty clean jars and items to fill the jars for our Lucky Jar stall.
Calling All Scone Makers

We need bags of chocolates for our Chocolate Toss stall. This year the Junior School Council are running this stall.
This is a note to our families who pick up their children in the afternoons, and use Gilmour Court at a pick up zone.
Our Grade 3 & 4 students are involved in their Bike Ed unit on Tuesday afternoons for 5 weeks starting 28th February.
The court will be used for riding from approximately 2:30pm – 3:15pm.
We will not be closing the court, but we urge all drivers for some patience and be careful of our young riders.
