Student Wellbeing

Students are better prepared for learning when they are healthy, safe and happy, therefore, student welfare is the responsibility of all staff working in a whole school context. Student learning cannot be separated from welfare (DEECD: Framework for Student Support Services)

At Belgrave South Primary School:

  • teachers take pride in helping students who learn effectively in an environment where students develop positive attitudes and relationships.
  • a strong emphasis is placed on ensuring that the school environment is a safe and positive place for all students.
  • each young person is educated in an environment which provides for their individual development through appropriate wellbeing programs that will enable them to participate fully and successfully in our school and within society.
  • we develop ongoing partnerships with parents and families and the whole school community which fosters an inclusive approach to student wellbeing.
