Camps

We have a comprehensive outdoor education program including school camps for Grades 3 and 4, alternating between Golden Valleys Lodge and Waratah Bay; Grade 5 at Camp Coonawarra; and Grade 6 to Wilson’s Promontory.

Performing Arts

Students at Belgrave South Primary School take a fun weekly Performing Arts class with Mrs Mizzi.  In addition to these classes, our children are provided with a variety of performing arts opportunities.

Students learn the significance of performing to real audiences

These include our impressive Grade 6 annual school productions.
Our whole school assembly is also a place where we celebrate the performing arts through whole school singing.

Leadership Opportunities

Throughout their time at Belgrave South Primary School, our students are taught to value and apply the Keys to Success;  Getting Along, Persistence, Organisation and Confidence.

Our senior students practice these skills through leadership positions such as School and Vice Captains, Literacy and Numeracy Captains, House Captains, Library and Office Assistants.

From Grade 3 up our students can be nominated for Junior School Council.  Here they attend weekly meetings tackling authentic issues.
